A Practice Built Around Families, Not Transactions
Heirly began in Chiang Mai in 2019, when its founders noticed that families in the region — whether long-established Thai families or international households living in Thailand — often lacked a calm, accessible place to start organising their stories and records without immediately encountering legal complexity or financial pressure.
The original idea was straightforward: offer structured workshops that felt more like a thoughtful family gathering than a formal appointment. From that first small memory workshop in a riverside meeting room, Heirly grew into a fuller practice offering document organisation toolkits and family education programs.
Today, the team serves families across Chiang Mai and the wider Northern Thailand region, supporting people to gather their important documents, record meaningful family stories, and learn about succession concepts in plain, accessible language.

All Heirly offerings are general education and administrative organisation services. We do not provide legal or financial advice, and we are transparent about that boundary at every stage.

Program Director
Nattaya leads program design and facilitation. She brings over twelve years of community education experience to every workshop and session.
James Lorrimer
Records & Organisation Lead
James developed the Records Inventory Toolkit methodology and runs working sessions, helping families bring order to complex document collections.
Siriporn Aroon
Family Facilitation Specialist
Siriporn facilitates the Family Planning Education Program sessions, creating calm and productive dialogue within families discussing the future.

A Thoughtful Practice for an Often-Neglected Conversation
Most families in Thailand — and across Southeast Asia more broadly — find it difficult to know where to begin when it comes to organising their records, preserving family memories, or discussing the future together. The topic often feels either too large to approach or too formal to address without involving lawyers or financial institutions at the outset.
Heirly sits in the space before that complexity. Our Memory & Story Workshop gives families a gentle, structured way to begin capturing stories and experiences before they are lost. The Records Inventory Toolkit helps people understand and organise what documents they already hold, so that nothing important is misplaced or forgotten. The Family Planning Education Program offers plain-language explanations of how succession and record-keeping concepts work, paired with neutral facilitation that helps families have these conversations on their own terms.
We work with families who are multigenerational, multicultural, or simply navigating life transitions — a parent considering the future, adult children wanting to support their parents, or couples who want to ensure their shared history is preserved. The work is practical, but it is also meaningful. Being organised is a form of care.
Heirly is based in Chiang Mai, a city with a strong tradition of family-centred community values and a growing community of thoughtful residents from across the region and internationally. We are proud to serve that community and to offer something genuinely useful within it.
